Mahesh Babu: I see films as a medium to promote social responsibility

In the Journey of Bharat, the trailer of his upcoming movie ‘Bharat Ane Nenu’, we got to see how superstar Mahesh Babu aspires to make honourable men out of all politicians. We can see the actor, who plays a chief minister in the movie, more as a leader than a politician who fights for his people by disciplining corrupt politicians who deceives and loots people to stay in power.
Speaking about what promoted him to play a social crusader, he said that to have a national conscience, social sensitivity and strength to speak out has become very important for everyone, and films can do that.He fees that cinema is a great medium to promote social responsibility. He also added that he is not trying to force social responsibility on the audience, but trying to give a perspective. “Bharat Ane Nenu will make you think in a certain way, a good way,” he said.
Koratala Siva's ‘Bharat Ane Nenu’ is touted to be a hard-hitting political thriller which has Kiara Advani as the female lead. Bollywood actor Mithun Chakraborty, Tamil actor Sarath Kumar, Prakash Raj, P Ravishankar and Rao Ramesh will feature in pivotal roles. Devi Sri Prasad is composing the music for Bharat Ane Nenu. The movie will hit the screens on April 20.
